Hockey Tasmania State Club Cup

Throughout the 2021 club season every senior Tasmanian team from the GNL and the Premier League will compete in the State Club Cup, with the last two Men's and Women's teams left standing playing off for the trophy in a season-capping Cup Final. From the knock-out stage standard rules will apply with matches consisting of 4 quarters of 17 minutes and, should the score be level after regular time, the teams will engage in a shoot-out. The Tournament Director for the 2021 State Club Cup is Greer Wells.

Round 1

Weeks 1 to 9 of the GNL Men, the ladder after everyone has played each other once in the GNL Women, and weeks 1 to 10 of the Premier League will form the basis of "Round 1" of the State Club Cup. A ladder, based on the results from those rounds only, will determine who qualifies for the knock-out stage of the Cup - the top 4 GNL teams and the top 4 Premier League teams.

Round 2

The "Super-8" stage of the competition sees the top 4 teams from the GNL and the top 4 teams from the Premier League play each other in a direct knock-out bracket on Saturday 19th June.

Round 3

The "Semi-Final" stage of the competition sees the winners of Games 1 and 4 host the winners of Games 2 and 3 from the Super-8 stage. The winners of these matches will qualify for the Cup Final.

Cup Final

The State Club Cup Final of 2021 will be held at the Tasmanian Hockey Centre, with the date TBD (likely to fall after the GNL/PLH seasons or as a lead up to the opening Hockey One match of the year).
