Indoor Hockey
Indoor hockey in Tasmania is a fun and growing variation of the sport. Hockey Tasmania continues to encourage participation in indoor hockey as another pathway to national and international achievement for players, coaches, umpires and officials. The Festival of Indoor Hockey is an annual event held in Launceston at the Silverdome in either November or December, providing an opportunity for beginners and long-time indoor hockey players, coaches, umpires, and officials to participate in an intrastate carnival over a weekend before the traditional local and national seasons.
The Northern Indoor Hockey community plays at the Silverdome in Launceston and provides the strongest competition for junior and senior participants.
The Southern Indoor Hockey competitions offer junior participation and development opportunities.
