Hookin2Hockey Schools Coaches
Hockey Tasmania are seeking expressions of interest for coaches to deliver our Hookin2Hockey Schools program for 2024. Coaches will be responsible for:
- Delivering school clinics within their region of Tasmania
- Promoting hockey within schools
- Cultivating relationships with schools in their region
- Liaising with the Hockey Tasmania Pathway and Development Officer to plan and take bookings for school sessions.
There may also be an opportunity for coaches to deliver other programs outside of the Hookin2Hockey Schools Program such as school holiday clinics or other junior development programs run throughout the year. All of these coaching roles are paid opportunites and travel expenses are covered.
Coaches should have the following:
- A valid WWVP Check
- Completed or working to complete the Foundation Lead Coaching Accreditation (Old level 1)
Desirable Skills
- Previous hockey experience playing or coaching.
- Previous experience working in schools or with children.
- Excellent communication skills
- Flexibility
- Can work under pressure.
