We are beyond excited to announce that Rachael Lynch (retired veteran Hockeyroo, dual Olympian, dual Commonwealth Games gold medalist, World Cup silver medalist, and 2024 Hockey Club Melbourne goalkeeper) will be joining us for the Aurora Energy Goalkeeping Program! Rachael is undeniably an incredible goalkeeper, and has been nominated three times for the FIH Player of the Year Goalkeeping Award since its introduction in 2014, winning it in 2019. She is fiercely loved by her teammates and hockey fans around the country, always seeking to support the people around her in whatever way she can. In an excerpt from her website: "Off the field Lynch works as a registered nurse, runs STOMP Goalkeeping and is very active in the mental health space as an ambassador for RUOK? Day. In 2021 she was recognised by the World Olympians Association where she was one of only 5 past and present athletes from around the world inducted into the 2020 Olympians For Life program."

We could not be more pleased to welcome her on board for the Aurora Energy Goalkeeping Program! The new program has sessions for both goalkeepers and coaches, and will be run with three online development workshops in addition to in-person sessions. We are avidly working on organising more in-person sessions around the state, and will email previous registrants in those areas once we have them fully organised.

Participants will receive specialised coaching with Rachael Lynch, one of the best goalkeeping coaches in the country, and an opportunity to grow their skills and development in the sport with hands-on instruction in a unique and exciting format.

Created for grassroots participants, this program is available for goalies of all ages who want to level-up their skills and who are not currently participating in high-performance programs.

Registering for the Aurora Energy Goalkeeping Program is completely free!
