U16 State Championships 2026

The U16 State Championships will be held at the Aurora Energy Tasmanian Hockey Centre on Saturday 14^th and Sunday 15^th November 2026. Adding to the excitement, the weekend will also feature the Tassie Tigers in their Round 6 Hockey One clash against the Melbourne Cobras. Match times are 1:00 pm for the Men and 2:45 pm for the Women.

It promises to be a fantastic weekend of hockey, showcasing Tasmania's rising stars alongside the state's elite Hockey One teams. 

To play in the 2026 State Championships:
Athletes must be 16 years or under on 31 December 2026 to compete.

To nominate for the 2027 Under 16 State Team Selection:
This event will also be used to select the 2027 Under 16 State Team to be eligible players must be 15 years or under on 31 December 2026 to be eligible for selection. The U16 National Championships will be held in Newcastle, NSW from the 6^th to the 13^th of April 2027.

Player Nominations Open:            Friday 7^th August at 9am
Player Nominations Close:            Sunday 27^th September at 11pm
Coach & Manager Noms Close:   Thursday 29th October at 11pm
