Hockey Tasmania congratulates Angus McMullen on his selection in the Australian Under-18 National Squad.
The team will travel to India for a four-match series from 10–21 May 2026, providing an invaluable opportunity for the young Tasmanian star to gain international experience against world-class opposition.
The tour represents a key step in Hockey Australia’s high-performance pathway, with the selected athletes earning their place following strong performances at national championships and within state-based programs. The series will expose players to international touring conditions, fast-paced competition, and the challenges of playing abroad.

-McMullen was named player of the tournament in 2024 at the National Under 16's Championships.
The selection of these squads forms part of the long-term vision for Australian hockey, with an eye firmly on the Brisbane 2032 Olympic Games. As this next generation of athletes continues to grow, develop and gain international experience, they are laying the foundations to become future Kookaburras and Hockeyroos on the Olympic stage.
