Premier League: Round 10 Preview

Published Fri 12 Jun 2026

After a long weekend break, the Premier League returns for Round 10, marking the halfway point of the season. By the end of this weekend, every team will have played each other twice, giving a clearer picture of the race for finals positions.

The Women's competition begins with DiamondBacks taking on University. The defending premiers moved to the top of the ladder for the first time since Round 1 with their victory last week and will be looking to hold that position at the midway mark of the season. They enter the clash full of confidence after defeating University 5-0 when the sides met earlier this year.

North West Graduates will be aiming to bounce back after consecutive losses to DiamondBacks and OHA saw them surrender top spot. They face a Canterbury side that may need to start taking points off the top three if they are to close the gap on fourth-placed University. Their previous meeting was a competitive contest, with NWG securing a 2-0 victory.

The final Women's match sees OHA take on Derwent. After recording a 7-0 win in the earlier meeting between the sides, the Ships will be looking for another strong result as they continue their pursuit of DiamondBacks and NWG. Goal difference could yet prove crucial in separating the leading teams at season's end. Derwent, however, will take confidence from scoring their first goal of the season in their most recent outing. While they faded late against University, their performance across the opening three quarters highlighted the significant improvement they have made throughout the year.

In the Men's competition, the headline clash sees the league's two form teams, University and DiamondBacks, go head-to-head in a top-of-the-table showdown. DiamondBacks will be relieved not to face the in-form Oscar Sproule, who has scored 14 goals across his past four matches and is currently away with the Australia A squad. However, the absence of Oscar and Jack Pritchard due to the same national team commitments is a significant blow for the second-placed side. When these teams last met in Round 5, University emerged with a 4-2 victory.

Earlier in the day, Canterbury and North West Graduates meet in a crucial mid-table clash. The Lions sit third, just one point ahead of fourth-placed NWG. Graduates will be without Ollie Stebbings but have rediscovered their form in recent weeks, bouncing back from a difficult stretch with consecutive wins. Canterbury, meanwhile, have suffered back-to-back defeats against the competition's top two sides and will be eager to halt their slide. Their previous encounter was one of the games of the season, with NWG claiming a dramatic 4-3 victory courtesy of a late winner.

The scheduled Men's match between OHA and Derwent has been postponed, leaving just two fixtures in the round.
