North West Graduates Turn the Tables on University
In a stunning reversal from their Round 6 meeting, North West Graduates handed reigning premiers University their first defeat of the season, claiming a thrilling 4-3 victory and completing a remarkable 12-goal turnaround from the sides' previous encounter.

Having been hammered 14-3 last time they met, the Bulldogs came out with a point to prove and struck first through an Oli Stebbings rocket. The returning Oscar Sproule responded for University, but North West Graduates regained control with goals to Harvey Bessell and Tyson Bessell.

University fought back strongly, with Ashby Bingham and a brilliant second goal from Sproule seeing the scores locked at 3-3 by halftime. Goals proved harder to come by after the break, but Tyson Bessell was on hand to tap home from close range late in the third quarter, scoring what would ultimately prove the match-winner.

Elsewhere, OHA broke through for their first win of the season, defeating Canterbury 4-1. Joseph Murphy fired home a first-half double to put the Ships in command before Matthew Davis halved the deficit for the Lions. OHA captain Ollie Smith ensured there would be no late scare, scoring twice in the second half as his side powered away to a deserved victory.
In the final men's fixture, DiamondBacks capitalised on University's slip-up to move within two points of top spot, overcoming Derwent 2-0 in a hard-fought contest. Will Oliver broke the deadlock shortly before halftime, while young gun Joey Bush sealed the result with five minutes remaining, settling a match that had remained finely poised throughout.

Crowden Hat-Trick Inspires Bulldogs
The top three sides in the Women's competition all recorded comfortable victories to maintain their positions on the ladder.
North West Graduates completed a perfect day for the club with a commanding 5-0 victory over University. Playing her first match since Round 3, reigning league leading goalscorer Josie Crowden made an immediate impact, scoring a hat-trick as the Bulldogs cruised past the fourth-placed Students. Ashleigh Arthur and Madeleine Rojahn also found the scoresheet in an impressive team performance.

DiamondBacks maintained their hold on top spot with a 4-0 victory over Derwent, although the young Strikers outfit made the ladder leaders work hard for the result. Sophie West opened the scoring, but the second goal did not arrive until late in the third quarter when Charlotte Pritchard produced a clever deflection. Phillida Bridley and Madison Clark added further goals to complete the win.

OHA also took care of business, with three of their four goals coming from penalty corners in a 4-0 victory over Canterbury. Zayna Jackson opened the scoring before Madeline Nogajski doubled the advantage in the second quarter. League-leading scorer Sofie McLeod and captain Julia Gunn then extended the margin during the third term to round out another strong performance from the Ships.
