The Hockey One fixture for the 2026 season has been unveiled, with the Tassie Tigers set to host four home match days at the Aurora Energy Tasmanian Hockey Centre across October and November.
Fresh off strong campaigns in 2025, both Tigers sides enter the new season with plenty to play for. The Men’s team will be aiming to go one step further after a heartbreaking Grand Final loss to HC Melbourne, while the Women’s side will be out to return to finals after narrowly missing out by a single point last season.
The 2026 campaign begins at home on Saturday, 10 October against the Perth Thundersticks. Perth edged the Tigers Women out of the final finals position in 2025 before going on to claim the championship, while the Thundersticks Men finished fifth overall.
Round 2 sees the Tigers hit the road for the first time with a trip to Adelaide to face the Adelaide Fire, before returning home for back-to-back fixtures against the Canberra Chill and Brisbane Blaze. The Round 4 clash with the Blaze shapes as one of the marquee contests of the season following the Tigers Men’s semi-final victory over Brisbane last year.
Round 5 delivers a Grand Final rematch on the road against HC Melbourne, before the Tigers return home in Round 6 for a historic first meeting with Hockey One’s newest club, the Melbourne Cobras.
The regular season concludes in Newcastle against NSW Pride, who finished second on the Men’s ladder and minor premiers in the Women’s competition last season.
With the new season on the horizon, the Tigers will once again look to harness the passion of the Tasmanian hockey community as they chase Hockey One success in 2026.
